Sarah Makarewicz is a film producer and director, with a backdrop of multi-disciplinary experience.

Nurtured in the academics of political science and philosophy.

Trained in the travails of advertising.

Seasoned in commercial and documentary film producing.

Presently pursuing underwater photography, writing and directing.

Sarah has agency produced, line produced, and executive produced; web content, commercials, documentaries and narrative films for a latitude of talented clients — Alaska Airlines, Patagonia, Merrell, Juniper Networks, Airbnb, Ford Racing, Steelcase, Facebook, Wendy’s, Chaco, Zero Motorcycles, Samsung and Founders Brewing. In the spirit of filmmaking, she loves the production process, elevating the experience and creative vision.

Sarah is a Michigan migrant, retaining her midwest-hard-work-ethic and disarmingly charming company, but a natural California soul (eats avocados, loves camping and surfing). Sarah splits her time between Los Angeles and SF Bay with her three aspiring humans —  a 16 year old son, 11 year old border collie, and pandemic puppy. She works everywhere.
